Walnut – The unusual shape and clean lines of this straight-grained Black Walnut makes this suitable as either a functional or display piece. The open grain pattern of the wood is enhanced with several applications of oil and wax over polished wood. Size: 8.25″ x 2.5″
Tamarind – This heavily spalted southeast Asia wood is remarkable to turn, an even more remarkable in finished form. Adorned with a beautiful glass globe crafted by an Indiana glass artist, the delicate spalting pattern contrasts against a creamy-white background. This piece is affectionately titled Antithesis, from the crafting techniques of the wood bowl and glass globe (subtractive and additive mediums). This bowl measures 6″ x 2″ and is finished in oil and lightly polished.
Redwood – Sensual in its simplicity, the shape emphasizes the strong grain pattern of this redwood specimen. A pleasure to hold and feel the undulating grain. Measuring 5.5″ x 3″, finished in oil and wax.
